The historical Dhundhi Odaari cave, used by the Pandavas to escape the blaze, sits just half a kilometer before the temple entrance.
- The Sentinels of Life & Death: Standing guard at the main shrine are two massive stone figures known as Manav and Danav. Legend has it that placing a recently deceased body between these guard statues could briefly return the soul to life to taste holy water before attaining final Nirvana.
